Wigan update

Chelsea 3 - 0 Wigan
Wigan 4 - 2 Birmingham
Ipswich 2 - 3 Wigan (FA Cup R4)
Wigan 1 - 2 Tottenham
Man City 1 - 3 Wigan
Burnley 3 - 4 Wigan
Wigan 2 - 0 Stoke
Arsenal 2 - 1 Wigan (FA Cup R5)

Lots of departures from Wigan during this session. Two of my first choice players, Scharner and Melchiot wouldnt' negotiate new contracts so I had to sell Melchiot and Scharner will leave at the end of the season. Hugo Rodallega left for Fiorentina in a £7.5m deal

The only signing was Mikael Nilsson who I brought in for cover at right back following the departure of Melchiot. The return of Ben Watson from his loan at QPR was as good as a new signing and has helped strengthen the midfield.

Despite the good run of league form the team is still in 8th place and I don't think I moved at all in the whole session

Things have been pretty hectic over the last couple of weeks but hopefully i'll be ok to join in on sunday!!!!

Wigan update

West Ham 2 - 1 Wigan
Wigan 2 - 1 Bolton
Liverpool 2 - 2 Wigan
Wigan 2 - 1 Fulham
Aston Villa 0 - 2 Wigan
Wigan 2 - 1 Blackburn

Another good session with the defeat against West Ham being the only disappointing result. Wigan remain in 8th not having moved position for months although they are now 15 points ahead of the team in 9th. With only a few games left to plat it is getting very tight above me with only 4 points seperating 4th and 8th.
